Tips & Comments
Here you will find tips on various techniques to making the wall hangings and other quilting projects covered in my patterns or books. You might also find corrections for any mistakes in my patterns. Hopefully there won't be too many!! If you run into a problem check here first. But you can always email me. Marcia.
Pattern Correction to Raccoon Ridge
- Step 1 on page 8 under "Finishing the Quilt" should read:
- For the quilt borders, cut 4 strips 2 1/2" x 13 1/2" and 4 strips 2 1/2" x 11 1/2"...
- Step 3 should read: For each of the top and bottom borders sew a 2 1/2" x 11 1/2"strip to a 2 1/2" strip x 3" strip followed by a 2 1/2" x 11 1/2" strip
- *If, you have already cut your borders according to the uncorrected pattern then you will need to add 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" cornerstones to the top and bottom border pieces.
- They will look fine, especially since they are topped with a yo-yo. (I've added them to one of my samples!)
