Pattern Corrections to Mermaids' Castle
Three of the quilt appliqués—a starfish, a fish and a seashell extend into the border of the quilt.
They need to be added after the borders are attached (step 2 of Finishing the Quilt).
The borders can be added to the quilt much sooner than instructed. Attach them right after you
appliqué the coral reefs to the background and you will be able to attach all of your appliqués at the
same time.
You will also need these fabrics for the quilt:
For the mermaid bras and yo-yos: 3” x 12” piece of off-white
For the yo-yo corals: Four pieces 4 1/2” x 9” of four different pinks
Three pieces 4 1/2” x 9” of three different oranges
Two pieces 4 1/2” x 12” of two purples
