The Reluctant Blogger

Last week when my one and only blog post disappeared, I had to face up to the fact that one post does not a blog make. So here I am making a second effort to start and continue writing a blog.  It is not that I don't have interesting stories to write about--I would just prefer to "think" about sharing them. Kind of like some of my quilting projects.  I love to collect fabrics and make up designs for wonderful quilts.  In my imagination they are perfectly composed and masterfully constructed.  Sadly they don't often get past that initial point.

I've just gotten home from a month long trip to  quilt shows around the country (which I will write about in future posts!:))  New projects are on my sewing table and I'm excited to start playing with fabric and move beyond imagination to  a finished quilt or two.

Wish me luck and I will do my best to keep you posted!!

For some reason all my Blog comments disappeared. The following answers some of those comments. If any of you posted a comment requesting information and I haven't responded, please repost your comment. Thanks

Julie: you certainly have my permission to exhibit your quilt in a show. Thank you for asking. Hope you win a ribbon! Usually the show rules ask that you note the pattern designer in your quilt description and I would appreciate that.

Kim: I found the spiderweb fabric at my local fabric store. Usually when the Halloween fabrics come out they have the spiderweb netting for costumes, tablecloths and such. Might have to wait until they put those fabrics on display.

Astrid: The fabric that I used was from Moda and was one of their Modascapes. You can e-mail Betty Sadow at heritagequiltshop@verizon.net with your request for the fabric and she can sell you what you will need. The shop is traveling this month (June), but she can ship it to you as soon as we return home.

Sharon: Yes, I will be at the Jacksonville show in Sept. Sorry for my delayed answer - we've been on the road. Hope to see you in Columbus.
